COMMUNICATIONS

EXPERIENCE

I was Communications Coordinator for Conservation International, an environmental

organization working in over 30 countries to promote sustainable development, in the South American country of Suriname from 2012 to 2013 .

I wrote press releases, online stories, factsheets, managed and created social media accounts, organized a meeting with 100 international parliamentarians on the natural importance of the Guiana Shield, as well as organised and undertook monthly field trips to remote indigenous villages in the Amazon.

I was a Communications intern at the United Nations in Suriname for which I designed and produced a monthly e-newsletter and wrote featured human-interest stories. I also designed and

maintained a UN Suriname facebook and twitter account, wrote press releases and organized events and campaigns.
